STATEMENT

One of the most integral parts of being human is the act of observing. My artistic practice originates from my own interpretations of the physical world around me. I often find that there are stories hidden within the everyday, begging to be explored and understood. I am deeply interested in the idea that there is mystery in the familiar and beauty in the mundane – the spaces where many would describe as ordinary are the very places that hold almost a spiritual calmness.

I strive to use my art to make connections between the act of seeing and the act of feeling. Using photography and printmaking, I focus on creating works that bring about introspection, truly forcing the viewer to look inward.
