The Questions That Make You Cry

This body of work is an exploration of the ways in which my past self has caught up to my present self through memories and experiences from an emotionally abusive relationship. In this series of triptychs, I make connections between the ideas of aloneness and time, illustrating how during the process of gaining closure I felt like a ghost of myself–merely going through the motions in isolation. As with most grieving processes, time goes on, you gain clarity, and reliving moments doesn’t hurt as much anymore. This work has been a crucial step in my search for closure.
